Food: Chicken Bake

This Chicken Bake is super easy and yummy for everyone! It doesn't take long to make at all! It's a bundle of yummy salty, sweet, and crunchiness.

Heres what you will need:

1 box of Stove Top stuffing
3 Chicken Breasts
1 can sweet corn
1 can cream of chicken
1/3 cup sour cream
1/2 cup shredded cheese (or more if your a cheese person! i always do!)
3 cups of cornflakes
3 Tbl of butter, melted

Lets start cooking!

1st: you want to cook the stuffing.. follow the directions and measurements on the box. when made, set aside. we will use this later

2nd: Cube chicken breast into about 1/2 or bigger if you prefer bigger. Boil chicken till cooked. about 5-8 mins

3rd: in a large mixing bowl add corn, cream of chicken, sour cream, cheese and cooked chicken. mix together!

4th: in a large plastic ziplock bag put the corn flakes and melted butter and shake it so the butter cover all the flacks. Bang on the flakes to break them up a bit. not too much tho.

5th: pour cream mixture into a 9x13 dish, then grab the stuffing and spred on top of creamy mixture, and finish with the buttery corn flakes.

6th: place dish in over and cook for 20 min on 400 degrees

Food: Spinach & Cheese Ravioli with Creamy Alfredo Sause, the easy way

so i made this super yummy pasta the other night..

Let me tell you how easy it was!

one word

Costco!

All i needed was these 2 things!

just cook the pasta in a pot for 5 min

and heat up the sause for 3 min

and wham you have a delicious Italian dinner ready!

oh man another lady crush! She is to die for i cant understand what she is saying but i love it!

These products have probably saved my life, well my hairs life! I cannot tell you how amazing they are!

The Pureology shampoo & conditioner i havent been using for long but let me tell you it just feeling like its hydrating your scalp with the minty feel and smell!

The it's a 10 Mask i have used for a few months now and this stuff is a gift from the heavens! the first time you use it wont feel too amazing but once you use it the second or third you will not want to ever use another deep conditioner!

it's a 10 Leave in Product make your hair smell super yummy and feel super soft!

As for the Derm Organic leave in treatment i've used this product for about 2 years now and this stuff has changed my hair! It has made it so healthy and smooth and shinny i will probably never stop using this stuff.

Sex, Marriage & Fariytales

This guy knows exactly what he is talking about. I can very much agree that my way of thinking and picturing marriage was totally distorted, and i do blame fairytales and chick flicks. The way that they portray love and life sets such high expectations on love and how it feels as well as what you look for in love. But this guy (i wish i knew his name but for some reason i cant find it) the way he speaks about "elevating your spouse to God" and "pursing Jesus as your foundation", Is the perfect way to put it. You cannot have a good and happy marriage without the foundation of your God. As for "marriage isn't just sex" and "are you actually friends?" I have learned that life is so much easier if you are just your fun loving goofy self with your spouse because thats what makes life happy and as for sex it's a wonderful thing and a blessing but you cannot base your whole marriage on it. That can just ruin it, because one or both spouses with either think they are not getting enough or they are getting too much and become very unhappy and if they have there foundation made out of sex then that will start to crumble once on person is unhappy. To make and keep a marriage strong and happy you do need to have the help and straight from above. I love you all and hope this clip hit you just like it did me. :)

i really love this song. The song's pretty straight forward.
i think the narrator of this song feels as if she has too much baggage to be good enough for the man she loves. she feels as if her love is a burden, weighing him down. (I was a heavy heart to carry/ My feet dragged across the ground). I think she feels selfish for loving him because her problems only add to his own. I think the line " And he took me to the river,Where he slowly let me drown" is her saying that she doesn't blame him for getting rid of her. The last verse tells us that the man she loves is unlike the rest because he is stronger than the others. He is strong enough to protect the both of them

I know this is just a movie trailer and i havent even seen the movie yet, but this really struck home for me. This story is about a couple who got married and in one moment, a car accident took everything away. She (Rachel McAdams) was in a coma and when she woke up she didn't remember anything, not even her own love, her husband. And the story is about him (Channing Tatum) trying to win her love back and help her remember who he is.

I know nothing like this has happend with Aaron and I but this is similar to what happend with my parents. My Mother got very sick when i was about 2 years old and it got to the point where it almost killed her. The sickness is called Encephalitis, It's very similar to meningitis. Encephalitis is irritation and swelling in the brain, so as a part of this swelling in the brain she was in a coma for about 2 weeks. When She finally woke up so had no recollection of anything my mother didn't remember me, my sister, and not even her Husband.

My mother had to basically relearn everything. She had so much brain loss And still to this day she has a hard time remembering some of her past.

But My father, I can say that this man knew that this illness that took part of his heart, he knew that his love for my mom would never fade and he knew he would be able to know that, that women laying in the bed not knowing who anyone was that She would know him again. It would take time and patiences but He had faith in there love and with that anything can happen.

My Mother and Father are very much in love and they have shown me the true power of love and eternal life and all the joy it will bring.

So yes i am Very excited to see this movie! i will fill you all in on how it goes once i see it! i am sure i will be balling my eyes out but hey thats just like every other movie i watch! :)

Creamy Pesto Dressing

Ingredients

1/3 cup low-fat buttermilk
1/3 cup mayonaise
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons pesto
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese

Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl until well combined.

Bacon, Apple Raspberry Vinaigrette Salad!

This is probably one of my favorite salads! i love the sweet taste from the raspberry vinaigrette to the saltiness of the bacon! this is a perfect summer salad BUT you can totally enjoy it on a cold winter day!

Here is what you will need

2-3 Romaine Hearts, Shredded

1-2 apples chopped

1 pkg. Bacon, cooked and chopped

1 pkg. Walnuts

1 pkg Feta Cheese

Dressing:

1 cup Sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp dry mustard

1/2 cup Red wine vinegar

1/2 small Red onion

1/2 cup olive oil

1 tsp poppy seeds

Combine 1st 5 ingredients for dressing in a blender and blend till smooth. Slowly add in oil while blender is running. Stir in poppy seeds. It's easy and yummy as that!

Baked Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients

8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1 large can spaghetti sauce (26.5 ounces)
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup chopped green peppers (I usually omit or substitute red peppers)
1/3 cup chopped onions
8 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons milk
Fresh grated Parmesan cheese
French Fried Onions (small can)

Directions

Cook spaghetti according to directions on the package. Cook to al dente, drain and set aside.
Brown ground beef. Drain excess grease. Add spaghetti sauce to skillet and heat.
Combine onions, peppers and butter in small glass bowl. Cover and microwave 4 minutes on HIGH until soft.
Add cream cheese and milk to vegetables and stir well. (If cream cheese is not soft, nuke it for 20-30 seconds to make it easy to spread.)
Using a 10 x 6 dish, assemble in the following order:
Thin layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the casserole dish.
Spaghetti
Cream cheese/vegetable mixture
Spaghetti sauce
Parmesan Cheese (amount subject to your own taste)
French Fried Onions (added during last 5 minutes of cooking)
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Top with French Fried onion and continue baking 5 more minutes. (This is the secret ingredient–don’t let them burn.

Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

INGREDIENTS:
Potatoes:
3 tablespoons butter
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
26-ounce bag frozen shredded hash browns
1/2 cup light sour cream

Topping:
3 cups cornflakes, lightly crushed
2 tablespoons butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:
Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until the onion is softened and translucent,a bout 5-6 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about a minute. Combine the chicken broth and milk in a liquid measure and slowly whisk in the mixture. Add the salt, pepper and thyme. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring frequently, until the mixture is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

Take the pot off the heat and stir in the cheese until smooth. Mix in the frozen hash browns, lifting and folding the mixture until well combined. Finally, stir in the sour cream.

In a medium bowl, toss the lightly crushed cornflakes with the butter until evenly combined. Scoop out the potato mixture into a 9X13-inch baking dish and top with the buttered cornflakes. If baking the potatoes by themselves, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, until hot and bubbly around the edges. If baking the potatoes with a ham (my ham recipe bakes at 300 degrees), bake the potatoes for 90 minutes at 300 degrees then crank the oven to 400 degrees and bake the potatoes for 10 minutes more. In both baking situations, let the potatoes rest for 10 minutes before serving.

9 C Chex cereal

1 C semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 C smooth peanut butter

1/4 C butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 C powdered sugar

Measure cereal into a large bowl and set aside.

In a 1 quart microwave safe bowl, heat chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter for 1 minute on high heat. Stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer or until melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla.

Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and stir well to coat all pieces. Add powdered sugar and stir until completely coated. Spread out on waxed paper or foil for about 30 minutes. Or 5 minutes. Whatever :) Store in an airtight container at room temp, or in the fridge.

Cinnamon Almonds

I always love smelling these bad boys when i'm at Cabelas ro at a carnival and i never buy any! So once i saw the recipe on Pinterest i had to make them! and oh my goodness they are so dang good and so easy to make!

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
3 cups raw almonds (or any other nut)
1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup water

Directions: In a large skillet combine the sugar, cinnamon and water. Add the almonds and stir constantly with a spoon over medium heat, coating the almonds with the syrupy mixture. Keep stirring until the sugar crystallizes. Remove the pan from heat and scoop the almonds onto wax or parchment paper. Let the cinnamon almonds cool before serving. These can be made a few days ahead.

Aaron and I were able to have our own little Christmas this year. It was so nice to wake up and just be together.

Rusty was just like a little kid! he saw me the day before putting his treat on the tree and he could not leave it alone. Christmas morning i woke him up and took him out of his crate and he ran straight to the tree and started whining! it was so freakin cute!

Just a couple of days before Christmas Aaron finally swore into his unite here in Utah. It was a good Christmas gift for use because this transfer has been going on for over 8 months or so. SO we were very grateful. Aaron parents were able to be there as well. It was just a good day for us and the best part about it was that it was on his birthday.

Yesterday Aaron turned 25. We had a filled day for sure. We both had to work but just for a few hours because Aaron and i had to drive up north to have Aaron swear into his new Military unit here. Once that was finished we went home and just chilled for a bit. WE then met up with his folks at went to dinner and saw Sherlock Holmes, and that was a great movie! a must see for sure! All in all it was a good day

Baked Salmon with Browned Butter Sauce

I made this last night and oh my goodness i was so happy with how it turned out! I could have browned the butter a little more but i thought it was amazing and Aaron was loving it too! So that means it must be good!

Ingredients

1-1.5lb salmon filet with skin on

course sea salt

2 Tbs butter

1 Tbs flour

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup white grape juice

1 Tbs fresh squeezed lemon juice

salt

pepper

Prep:

Preheat oven to 450
Place filet, skin side down on a roasting pan, sprinkle with sea salt and place in oven, bake until flakes apart with a for, about 15 min
While fish is cooking, place the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Melt and cook until the butter browns, watch it carefully and swirl the pan as you go, it will turn fairly quick and you don't want it completely burnt, just a light brown color.
Once the butter turns, add the flour and stir then quickly add the heavy cream and juice and lemon juice.
Stir the sauce until slightly thickened then remove from heat and add some salt and pepper to taste
Remove the salmon from oven and serve with a little of the sauce drizzled over top.

good sides for this meal: Brown or white rice, broccoli, asparagus, really any veggies would work!

Rolo Cookies

These cookies are soooo yummy and so easy to make! and you hardly use any ingredients! it awesome!

Recipe:

1 box of chochlat cake mix

about 3 rolls of rolos

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1 large egg

Mix cake mix, butter and egg together in a mixing bowl. It will be very dry at fist then it will start to be more moist as you go.
Take a small ball of dough and form a ball around the rolo. (Only use enough dough to cover rolo so it can spread through cookie)
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes.
Yields about 3 dozen

Sweeeet Potatos

I was given the job to make some sort of sweet potato. So of course i went to pintrest to see what was on there! I found this amazing recipe but i had to call my Mother-in-law to get her input! And thank goodness i did! It turned out so good! and I don't even like sweet potato casseroles!

Sweet Potato Casserole

Yield: 8-10 servings

5 – 6 sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons orange juice
1 (10.5 oz) package miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven to 400 on a baking sheet bake potatoes for 30-45min (squeeze to see if tender. if not tender bake until they are)

Peel off all the skin. Mash in the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and orange juice. Spread evenly in a greased 9- x 13- inch pan. Top with marshmallows.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until marshmallows are golden brown.

This Thanksgiving was awesome. I started the day off with Thankful Yoga at yoga underground utah then went back home to my hubby where i made a thankful breakfast.

Aaron and I then went over to my parents home where we ate this AMAZING Thanksgiving feast!

Later that evening Brea, Derrick and Khloe joined us for some yummy pies and looking at old pictures.

My dear old Grandma was able to please us with her company

And the evening was just beginning! We were looking thru all the adds for black friday deals! Aaron and I ended up got to Park City till about 1:30am! it was pretty sweet!

creamy chicken crock pot goodness

- Bag of frozen Chicken Breast Tenderloins (2.5-3lb bag)
- 8 oz block of cream cheese (don't use Fat Free! 1/3 less fat or regular is fine)
- Can of Black Beans, drained & rinsed. (or Pinto Beans if you prefer)
- Can of Corn, drained.
- Can of Rotel

Directions:
Put frozen chicken in the crock pot.
Put Cream cheese on top of the chicken.
Dump in the Black Beans (make sure they are drained & rinsed!!!)
Dump in the drained corn.
Dump in the Rotel,

Cover & cook in your Crock Pot on low for 6-8 hours.
Every 2 hours, I stir the ingredients.
You can shred the chicken when it is done, or just leave it as tenderloins.

I turn the crock pot off & let it sit for about 30-45 minutes.
It is a little soupy, but letting it sit causes it to not be as soupy.

I serve this over rice. The rice soaks up some of the soupy-ness.

My husband has picked up one of the coolest hobbies. He's collecting comic books! It's adorable to see him reading them and then when he's with his friends and brother its like hes a little kid talking about all his favorite super heros. He calls this hobby "nerding out" and yes i would agree, it is a nerdy hobby but i love it. He has about 500 comics! Hes pretty freakin cool!

I was craving some chili and i wasnt about to eat the can stuff like Aaron does! So I found a bunch of recipes and i liked them ALL so i decided to make my own creation! and to be honest i was a little scared because it was looking a lot like my taco soup. And i was going to be very sad if it tasted like it! THANKFULLY it totally tasted like chili!! YAY!! i hope you will enjoy it as much as i did :)

2 lbs Beef
1 16 oz can Black Beans
1 16 oz can Kidney Beans
1 8 oz can Tomato Sauce
10 oz package of frozen corn
2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes with chilies
1 package of chili seasoning
1 green bell pepper (chopped)
1/4 red onion (chopped)
1/3 yellow onion (chopped)
1 cup celery (chopped)
2 Tbsp worcestershire sause
2 Tbsp oil
salt & pepper for taste

First: Put beef, yellow onion, and oil in large cooking pan. Cook beef till brown.
Second: Drain grease from beef.
Third: put all of the ingredient into slow cooker mix everything together and cook for 5hrs on HI. or 8hrs on LOW.

toppings and sides: cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips, bread, and really whatever you want! this will go with anything!

This dish is delicious straight up comfort food. It has a cheesy and zesty taste! and so easy to make! thank you to Jam Hands and pinterest for the amazing recipe!

Mexican Dorito Casserole
Serves 4-6

2 c. shredded cooked chicken
1 c. shredded cheese (or more if you are a cheese hound)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 can Ro-tel tomatoes (canned tomatoes with jalepenos-mild)
1/2 packet taco seasoning (or more- to taste)
Bag of doritos

1. Pre-heat oven to 350-f degrees.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except doritos.

3. In a greased 2 qt baking dish, put a layer of crushed doritos (about 2 cups), then a layer of the chicken mixture. Repeat once more, ending with a layer of chicken mixture. Top with more shredded cheese, cover, and bake for 30-35 minutes, till bubbling hot.

Which is worse, failing or never trying? thats though, i've had a hard time with the word fail. So if you would have asked me that a few years ago i would have said failing. but not trying you just dont give your self the chance to even conquer. Never Trying is worse.
If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? because a lot of people, like me.. are people pleasers and hold back from saying what we really want. I came across This Post and I totally could relate. I mean my identity wasn't stolen or what not. But I have been feeling very stressed and unbalanced. Some times life gets ahead of you and all you do is drag your feet a little more. I was even in the middle of writing my yoga instructor and telling her to cancel my membership. Thankfully in the middle of that sad and depressing email I realized that yoga is one of the things that can help me get threw all this poop and I am going to cancel my membership!? ya.. So after deleting the email I told myself that I am going to get back into my yoga schedule again! As I attended my class last night it was me and two other girls and the studio was dark and cozy. I did my first sun salutation I knew this was where I needed to be and I was grateful for that time. Then my practice came to an end and i'm laying in savasana I felt complete, no worries, no stress just bliss and happiness. Amazing what a work out can do to ya huh!?

My sister threw a Halloween party and and she did a great job with the decorations to the treat! She even had games for the adult and the children! she freakin went all out! Aaron and I went at Storm and Professor X it was a hit! well Aaron's costume was, rollin around in his wheel chair! It was a really fun night, props to my sister for bein a fabulous hostess!

this was probably the highlight of the night! the Donut eating contest! the funny thing was that aaron HAD TO STAY in his WHEEL CHAIR! it was hilarious! i should have got it on video! but the pictures are pretty good!

Park City Getaway for a Day

Sense our 3 year wedding anniversary is on a week day this year and we are both going to be working we decided to take a trip up to Park City to do a little shopping, site seeing and of course eating! We had a great time we had no plans and we were just enjoying our time together and the outlets :) We shopped for about 3 hours then took a nice little drive threw town then ate at our restaurant The Grub Steak. I was defiantly an amazing day and what made it that best time was being there with the man of dreams.

you have no idea how amazing this desert is! OHMYGOSH! When you go you must all try this trio! todiefor!

SO my wonderful husband has been looking at buying a bike for a while now and he finally made a decision last week to buy on! FINALLY! So this is the new addition Honda Shadow 750. We know it wasnt the best time to buy one ummm because of all this rain!! but it's going to be so nice once were living in Florida! and i have to say ridding the bike is super addicting! Good job babe for buying such an awesome toy!

State Fair

Last month we went the the State Fair with a group of friend. We mainly went to try the exotic meats and deep fried twinkies.. I had some alligator on a stick and Aaron had the deep fried twinkie with bacon in it! that just sounds like a heart attack so i wasnt about to try it! but another thing that was at the fair was "the smallest women" and of course Aaron was the only on to actually look at her.. pretty crazy he said..

Labor Day Weekend Fishing

So this Labor Day Aaron and his friend Mote and I went fishing up in Hobble Creek Canyon. Probably one of the best fishing experiances EVER! you wanna know why!? I'll tell ya...I caught my FIRST fishy! I've been fishing a few times with Aaron but i never once caught anything! So this was a good day!

Yesterday was my birfday! and it was probably one of the best ones i've had. I didn't do anything outrages i didnt have anything super exciting to do i just was with the people i love. Aaron took a half day so we were able to go shopping, the funny thing is that i couldn't find anything i wanted! it actually kinda bothered me haha! but after that he took me to dinner and then we went to the Hospital to visit the little man! all and all a great and relaxing perfect day!

He is adorable and i'm pretty sure he was about 6 lbs, i don't know all the measurments all i know is that he was one of the cutest little things and he had his mothers butt chin! This weekend a group of us drove all the way to Ohio to go to this pretty sweet place, Kings Island. I swear it was 100 degrees and i felt like i was gonna die! So this park was huge! it had a whole water park then a whole theme park! it was for sure a whole day event! and i was drained in the first 30 minutes!
