Bacon, Apple Raspberry Vinaigrette Salad!

This is probably one of my favorite salads! i love the sweet taste from the raspberry vinaigrette to the saltiness of the bacon! this is a perfect summer salad BUT you can totally enjoy it on a cold winter day!

Here is what you will need

2-3 Romaine Hearts, Shredded
1-2 apples chopped
1 pkg. Bacon, cooked and chopped
1 pkg. Walnuts
1 pkg Feta Cheese

Dressing:
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
1/2 cup Red wine vinegar
1/2 small Red onion
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp poppy seeds

Combine 1st 5 ingredients for dressing in a blender and blend till smooth. Slowly add in oil while blender is running. Stir in poppy seeds. It's easy and yummy as that!

Enjoy

Can't wait to try this, and the pic is gorgeous, but....yes, where is the raspberry part? And also, never having bought Feta cheese before, what size package would I need? Also size of package of walnuts? Thanks so much, I am still drooling!

Am I missing the raspberry part?

Do you add the raspberries blended into the dressing, or whole on the salad?

Where and how do we add the raspberries into the vinaigrette??

Where does the raspberry flavor come in...that is missing on the dressing list.

This was amazing!!! My new favorite salad. There aren't any raspberries in this recipe. The dressing is called a raspberry vinaigrette. If you make it, and taste it, you will understand why.

Hi Carlyn,
LOVE this salad! Just featured it as the "Daily Nosh" on virtualwinebar.com paired with a Bonny Doon Rose. Simply Delish!

Cheers!

Sounds good, but I think I will use raspberry wine vinegar instead of the red wine vinegar. Would like more of a raspberry flavor.

A great recipe but I cut sugar in half & it was still sweet.

Red wine vinegar is a listed ingredient, maybe you missed it.

Yes, Red wine vinegar is an ingredient but I think many are confused at the name "Raspberry" Vinaigrette, being there is no raspberry anything in the ingredient list.

I found this recipe through Pinterest and made it for a BBQ tonight, and everyone loved it! Thanks for taking the time to post this!

I made it without the raspberries and itch less sugar and it was GREAT!

For all you "know it alls" out there, Raspberry Vinaigrette SHOULD have raspberries in it. This recipe is for a Red Wine Vinaigrette.

I do wish bloggers would post ounces or weights instead of 'packages' or 'bags'. Since almost every product comes in several sizes, are we to guess!

It's a salad. Use as much or as little as you want

@Sam, Yes, I agree with you. Many here just aren't getting it. There is NO raspberry anything in this recipe. So, the name of the salad should then be "Bacon, Apple, Red Wine Vinaigrette Salad!

My kids love salad in their lunchbox. They would love this but how do you keep the apples from browning? I get this all the time at Wendys. Would love to make this up ahead of time and take it with me.
